Rosary Reflections – The Ascension – 14 May

14th May – THE ASCENSION

Mark 16:19
After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.

After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.

In last Sunday’s Gospel we hear the words “There are many rooms in my Father’s house…I am going now to prepare a place for you, and after I have gone and prepared you a place, I shall return to take you with me; so that where I am you may be too” (John 14:2-4)

By His sacrifice, Jesus has done the will of the Father. He has completed His task on earth. Through His ascension, He will now sit at the right hand of the Father but would never leave us alone. He is still with us. He is in every tabernacle of the world, alone, and waiting for the day we can visit Him again. Each time we visit Him, we give Jesus the joy He felt at the reunion He had with the Father.

Dear Jesus during these dark and difficult days when we cannot be physically with you, we place our hearts & souls in every tabernacle all over the world, so that You may never be alone. We place ourselves there to keep You company, to love and adore You, to thank You for being present with us during Covid 19. We unite our presence there with all the angels and saints that adore You at the right had of the Father in heaven.

As we pray the rosary we ask Mary our mother intercede on our behalf and help us to unite with Jesus during our whole life, in a spiritual communion that never ends, until we unite with Him to adore Him with you in heaven.
